nominee mike pence made a stop in madison yesterday.he stopped by a republican campaign headquarters office to make phone calls.. alongside volunteers. pence was supposed to make a campaign stop is waukesha yesterday... but cancelled. new this morning---a ?deadly? shooting overnight on milwaukee's north side. side.it happened around 12:30 this morning.this was the scene near 19-th and fairmount. the medical examiner responded... but there's no word yet on ?who? was killed. the milwaukee police department has ?not? reported any arrests yet. 3 looking ahead..the state could today... in the trial for the man charged in the death of laylah peterson. peterson.divonte forbes testified yesterday that ?carl barrett? was with him in a car in the neighborhood the night laylah was shot dead.forbes is testifying as a part of a plea agreement for other shootings. forbes is ?not? charged in the case.. even though his gun was used in the 2014 shooting. during cross examination.. he admitted he was high at the time.. and might be fuzzy on the some of the facts. 00-11defense: you don't know

?make a donation? last week--- but was told by a board member... she needed to give ?cash?--- not checks she says... last night's meeting produced ?no solutions.? 3 very confused and concerned for the children at the center wondering exactly what was going on, and then yesterday when i learned the center was in trouble and the doors could close on the 30th i was even more confused as to why a donation would be turned away 3 a go-fund-me account has raised just 30 dollars so the center needs three-thousand dollars by friday. police won't confirm it... but victims tell cbs 58...they think one man is on a crime spr. spree...robbing clerks at gas stations in mequon, new berlin and the town of norway in racine county. surveillance photos from monday show a man in a hooded sweatshirt with a large rifle. the suspect looks similiar to another set of photos taken september 20-th in mequon. police are being careful with what they say... but acknowledge they are working

retailers in one kenosha county village.. who report too many shoplifters.. could now be fined.the new ordinance requires businesses in somers to pay 500 dollars for each theft call.. over 20 a month. according to the kenosha news... the somers board of trustees approved the proposed ordinance last night for a year. ?walmart? representatives were concerned ?they? were targeted. but village officials downplayed that notion after coroporate officials earlier this month. it's been a "seesaw" for the organizers of an all-inclusive playground. but now the dream playground in kenosha... is expected to re-open by the end of the year. year.it was ?shut down ?because of faulty flooring. but we're told bluemel's maintenance service... is just about ready to put in the new and safer floor. caledonia police are getting their very first k-9 officer in the department's history. history.here he is. but this new officer doesn't have a name yet.his handler... officer ?radke?.. wants your

air, and someone taking his life that was sworn to protect " him." the tulsa police officer who fired the fatal shot--- betty shelby--- is charged with ?first-degree manslaughter.? neighbors and friends are remembering keith lamont scott-- the man killed by police last week in charlotte. they joined activists yesterday near a memorial outside of his home. home. scott's family disputes the had a gun and refused to drop it after being ordered to do so.the shooting sparked days of protests.. that at times turned violent.one of scott's neighbors organized yesterday's vigil... and says she hopes it will help bring peace. 3 a suspicious package forces the evacuation of police department headquarters in ?charlotte, north carolina.? officers used a bomb-sniffing dog.... and a remote- controlled robot to ?detect and remove it.? it.?it took police about ?four hours? for the bomb squad to investigate and ?contain? the package.it all started last night in the department's ?mailroom.? (cpt. mike campagna/ charlotte- mecklenburg police dept.) "one of k-9 bomb dogs named boomer came in and did an assessment of the package and the dog did an alert on the package to indicate there was some further done. at that point, the bomb squad did an assessment, took control of the package, has removed the package from the bu" building" authorities say... there was no phone call or threat made to the department.no one was hurt. 3 the f-b-i is releasing new pictures of two men they want to talk to about the new york city-area bombings.agents say security video shows the men removing a pressure cooker bomb from a bag... and walking away with the luggage. meanwhile.. today's planned arraignment of the man accused

officials say "ahmad rahami" remains unconscious in a new jersey hospital. becuase of that... the arraignment on state charges in connection with the new jersey shootout that led to his capture.. has been postponed. an illinois lawmaker played a role in the capture of ?three murder suspects from georgia ?... after being the victim of a mugging. mugging.state senator "napoleon harris" owns two pizza franchises in northern illinois... and decided to give his delivery crew a break late one night earlier this month.harris was making a delivery at a house... but the whole order was a trick.four men attacked the senator when he arrived.but the attackers didn't count on the victim getting the better of them. harris is six-foot-three and 250 pounds...he's also a former star linebacker in the nfl.the four attackers tried to choke harris...but he was just too strong.. out-powering all four of them.three of them were later arrested in georgia thanks to harris' descriptions. a wildfire in northern california continues to grow.. forcing hundreds of people to
